The youngsters can trounce through the Children's Garden replete with a tree house, bee observation deck, fossil sand box and carnivorous plants.

A Slice of History
Jump on Atlanta's public transit system, commonly known as MARTA, and head downtown to Five Points/Underground Atlanta to discover Atlanta's history. The story goes that a stake was placed into the ground here that signified the zero mile marker from which Atlanta then grew. These days' an assortment of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues have sprung up. History buffs can follow markers distributed throughout the city identifying pivotal buildings and places in Atlanta's history.

World of Coca Cola
Just beyond the Underground Atlanta plaza is the World of Coca Cola. Here you can sample various different types of colas from around the globe. Believe it or not there's a variety of flavors not available in the U.S.  Also featured are over 100 years of advertisements.

Martin Luther King National Historic Site
Hop on the MARTA #3 bus and explore the brilliance behind one of the greatest public speakers of all time - Martin Luther King. Once at the site, you can read all about his involvement in the Civil Rights Movement and even visit his former home.

For dinner, choose from juicy burgers at Vortex, bold burritos at Zocalo, fresh sushi at Nickiemoto's or Mediterranean cuisine at Eno.
